Welcome to the White Shark Embassy

World Capital of the Great White Shark - Kleinbaai, Gansbaai, South Africa

The White Shark Embassy Education Centre was founded by Kim "Sharklady" Maclean and Terry Mccarthy, both staunch conservationists.

Kim and Terry started the White Shark Cage diving in South Africa in 1992 and her full circle dream was to open an education centre which would educate society about the conservation and preservation of sharks and other marine species that are endangered and harmed.

Actions speaks louder than words and so the White Shark Embassy Education Centre is opened, in the heart of the White Shark Cage Diving and world capital of the White Shark, Kleinbaai, Gansbaai, South Africa. Care, protect and educate will be the Embassy's aim and will hope in educating people from all ages and places to do likewise.

Our Mission Statement As Follows

Owing to massive negative media publicity over the years, sharks have become one of the most maligned, misunderstood, even hated animals on our fragile planet. They have been pursued, hunted and indiscriminately slaughtered over the years to the point where many species are endangered.

If we can dispel some of the hype and myth and the fear which surrounds these magnificent animals, and even if through our committment we only introduce some element of objective perspective to the people whom we come into contact with, then we have at least made some contribution to maintaining the natural balance in at least one ecosystem in our communal home, earth.

Yours Truly

The Sharklady
